Disconnect the battery ground cable.

: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands. Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the transmission.

: The bolts can only be used 3 times, mark the bolts with a center punch. If 2 punch marks are visible, discard the bolts. :   Prevent the flexplate from rotating. Remove the torque converter flexplate.   Remove the 8 bolts.

:   Prevent the flexplate from rotating. Install the torque converter flexplate.   Clean the component mating faces.   Tighten the bolts evenly and progressively in 2 stages.   Tighten the bolts to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).   Tighten the bolts to 110 Nm (81 lb.ft).

Install the transmission.

Connect the battery ground cable.
